Lip conditioners in general and (Blistex lip conditioner) particularly..?

How safe are these things when used on a daily basis for years?

I use the one that says ';medicated'; on the box and it got me thinking that maybe it's not a good idea to use these things regularly (for months during winter, every day).

I don't care if my lips look good, I am a guy lol hehehe but I need protection or in winter months they (lips) get so dry and cracked, if I laugh to hard they might even bleed a bit. YIKES!

anyone?Lip conditioners in general and (Blistex lip conditioner) particularly..?
The ';medication'; is menthol or camphor, and refers to the irritation that they soothe. You could always use good old fashioned olive oil if you really have concerns - the point of the product is just to keep them from drying out by putting a layer of lubrication between you and the elements.

But as someone who has had a certifiable chapstick addiction for years, I wouldnt worry about it ;)Lip conditioners in general and (Blistex lip conditioner) particularly..?
easy just use petroleum jelly or honey. they both make really good lipbalms. and don't rub your lips together after application like diva girls do. no i don't think they're harmful... oh now you've got me paranoid!
