Best lip balm for REALLY chapped/painful lips!?

What's the best lip balm (preferably a kind I can get from a drug store) for really dry painful lips? My lips are never this dry and they HURT! I've tried bag balm, normal chapstick...nothing helps! Any suggestions??Best lip balm for REALLY chapped/painful lips!?
Try Burt's Bees medicated, or even just regular Burt's Bees lip balm.


It has this cooling, soothing sensation that I think would be great for your lips.

Once I tried it, I never went back to chapstick.


The only down side is that it's a lip balm, so you have to apply with your fingers. Even though it's not messy or anything, I just don't really like that.





Other than that, the only thing that I can think of is Chapstick Medicated.

Dessert Essence tea tree oil balm


Get it at Whole Foods or any other natural food store. You may also find it in the natural products section of your grocery store.

Petroluem based products will not work as well. Petroleum is an inorganic substance that does not allow your skin to breathe or allow nutrients to penetrate.
maybe you should try exfoliating your lips.


just moisten your lips with warm to hot water for a few seconds and then take half a teaspoon of sugar and scrub it on your lips with your finger.





after that, use vaseline.


or, have you tried the brand CHAP STICK ? It's usually better. And try the medicated kinds so it helps heal your lips.

i find it really helpful for dry and chapped lips
Softlips is the best! Cures them almost instantly! Or atleast that is my favorite! Or even chapstick..medicated works really well!
go with simple vaseline at night and a bert's bees lip balm for the day...


vaseline is so under used and it works amazingly!

CARMEX. Works miracles. Stays on for ages, not like all the others which seem to disappear off your lips within half and hour.
I personally like Burt's Bees....however at night you should try putting vaseline on your lips if they are extremely dry. Trust me, it helps!
