Why does carmex (lip stuff)?

Get a funky smell after awhile?? Does it mean its old. And get rid of it?Why does carmex (lip stuff)?
Yes, you're right. The oils and waxes used to make Carmex (and most lip balms) will go rancid after a time and get that 'funky' smell you mentioned. Toss it and get another one.Why does carmex (lip stuff)?

ive heard that carmax actually wasnt good for your lips...its dries them out.
no!! CARMEX iS GREAT. iT JUST CAN TEND TO SMELL ';FUNKY'; BECAUSE iT iS SOO STRONG!
It's fat-based, so the fat goes bad. You can still use it, but the smell will probably bug you, since it will be right under your nose.


You can prevent the smell by keeping it in the fridge when you're not carrying around in your purse.
no its still fine but you might not want to use it because of its smell
no it doesn't mean that its old it just that way but it heals cold sores and chapped lips and more but to get of the smell when your not using it put it in the fridge
o ya carmex i rember her she was so american she was always puttin her lips some were that carmex but have a great day kiddo scottie form philly.
