I'm at the erly stages. its inflamed red and forming. bubbilish. no scab yet.

Yes you bet cha it does, it's medicated chapstick/lipbalm made just for that. Note that you will definitely feel a tingly feeling, almost like it's warming up a little. Not trying to be funny but Herpinsin L works great as well (they're for the same thing) Cold sores plus chapped lips.


If you don't like the original sent Carmex they now have it in strawberry, it's a little more pleasant.





Just keep in mind that it is not a quick fix. While you're waiting for it to heal be sure to get loads of vitiman C, so go heavy on the OJ (I know, I know, thats going to sting a bit)





If that doesn't work then you might have to see a dermatologist.

Yes. Carmex was created for cold sores, but it also works well on dried lips. It might not heal it immediately, but it will soothe it and minimize it.
For me, not anymore than vaseline. Try some Abrevia. It seems to shorten the duration. Use it as the package says to.
this sounds weird but the fastest way to get rid of it is campho phenic or how ever you spell it, just put a small amount on with a qtip
